What Loop the Lakes is about
The annual Loop the Lakes event has been happening for over 12 years. The event features some of the classic trails in Squamish and is designed to cater to runners of all levels. The low lying trails at Alice Lake Provincial Park, makes this event ideal for people preparing for future running endeavors and goals or simply as a great way to start a Spring running goal. The snow melt disappears quickly and so runners have many weeks to train and prepare on this race course if they wish.
Situated lakeside at Alice Lake Provincial Park, the event has the reputation of being a family friendly event with an encouraging atmosphere. With three distances to choose from (8km, 15km and 21km) and a free 1.5km kids race around the lake, there is something for everyone! Racers are encouraged to take a dip in the lake after or pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a day at the park. This event has always attracted runners from around BC as well as the Washington State.
We look forward to seeing you and your family at the annual Loop the Lakes run in Squamish, BC – the outdoor capital of Canada.
